Air Conditioning and Heating

We supply and install air conditioning and heating for caravans, campervans, pop tops and motorhomes at our Toowoomba workshop.

For cooling, we fit rooftop, under-bunk and cabinet-mounted units from Dometic, Truma and Furrion. For heating, we supply and install Autoterm diesel air heaters. We also have qualified cabinetmakers on site, so where a unit needs cabinetry modified to fit, that can be done in-house as part of the same job.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a van under 19ft we'd generally recommend a Dometic FreshJet 7 Pro. It has a lower cooling capacity than the rest of the Series 7 range, which makes it more affordable while still being well matched to a van of that size.

If you expect to need extra cooling — travelling to hotter destinations, or more than three people in the van — the FreshJet 7 Plus is worth considering.

Depending on your roof setup, an under-bed or cabinet-mounted unit such as the Truma Saphir or Furrion 9000BTU may suit better. Contact us for advice on what will work best in your van.

For a larger van needing more cooling capacity, we'd recommend stepping up to the Dometic FreshJet 7 Plus.

Installation pricing depends on your van and the type of unit, so it's best to call us with the details. We'll ask a few questions and can usually give you a firm quote on the spot.

As a ballpark guide: removing an existing unit and replacing it is typically around $440. A new installation involves significantly more work and is typically $1,100–$1,200.

Yes. We have qualified cabinetmakers on staff, so cabinetry can be modified to suit your new unit.

We supply and install Autoterm diesel air heaters, which draw fuel from a dedicated tank or your van's existing supply and duct warm, dry air into the living space.

Our recommended unit is the Autoterm 12V 2kW Kit with Digital Controller. It suits most caravans and campervans, and is available as the heater kit alone, with a fuel tank, or supplied and installed by us.
